  • 600g 21¼ oz Strong white bread flour Strong white bread flour
  • 1tsp 1tsp Salt
  • 1tsp 1tsp Unrefined golden granulated sugar
  • 15g ½ oz Vegetable fat hard, white
  • 1 1 Easy bake yeast sachet Easy bake yeast sachet
  • 400ml 13½ fl oz Warm water
  • 6 6 Plum tomatoes
  • 50g 1⅞ oz Parmesan mixed
  • Olive oil to drizzle

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Place the flour, salt, sugar, vegetable fat, yeast and water into a mixer with a dough hook attachment.

    Mix to a soft dough, knead for 5 minutes.

    If mixing by hand, put the dry ingredients into a bowl and sprinkle on the yeast.

    Mix to a soft dough, turn onto a floured board and knead for 10 minutes.

    Roll into one large rope and place on a greased baking tray.

    Prove intil doubled in size.  Meanwhile preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan, gas mark 7).

    Bake for up to 40 minutes.

  8. Classic mode Step 8

    Slice into 12 slices, bake the slices for 10 minutes until crisp, drizzle with olive oil and serve with the tomatoes and parmesan.
