Ingredients

  • 275ml 9⅜ fl oz Warm water
  • 1tsp 1tsp Unrefined golden caster sugar (we use Billington's) Unrefined golden caster sugar
  • 1tsp 1tsp Salt
  • 1tbsp 1tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 1tsp 1tsp Mustard powder dry
  • 1tbsp 1tbsp Parsley fresh, chopped
  • 1tbsp 1tbsp Sage leaves fresh, chopped
  • 1 1 Red onion small, chopped finely
  • 50g 1⅞ oz Cheddar cheese strong, grated
  • 450g 16 oz Country grain bread flour (we use Allinson) Country grain bread flour
  • 1 1 Easy bake yeast sachet

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Put the ingredients into the bread maker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook).  Add most of the cheese, reserving a little to scatter over the top.  Set to the dough setting of your bread machine.

    • 275ml 9⅜ fl oz Warm water
    • 1tsp 1tsp Unrefined golden caster sugar (we use Billington's) Unrefined golden caster sugar
    • 1tsp 1tsp Salt
    • 1tbsp 1tbsp Sunflower oil
    • 1tsp 1tsp Mustard powder dry
    • 1tbsp 1tbsp Parsley fresh, chopped
    • 1tbsp 1tbsp Sage leaves fresh, chopped
    • 1 1 Red onion small, chopped finely
    • 40g 1½ oz Cheddar cheese strong, grated
    • 450g 16 oz Country grain bread flour (we use Allinson) Country grain bread flour
    • 1 1 Easy bake yeast sachet
  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Remove the dough from machine and knead until smooth.

  3. Classic mode Step 3

    Shape into a large twist, sprinkle with cheese and place onto a greased baking sheet.

    • 10g ½ oz Cheddar cheese strong, grated
  4. Classic mode Step 4

    Leave to prove until double in size.

  5. Classic mode Step 5

    Bake at 190°C (170°C fan, gas mark 5) for 30 minutes.
