This tasty loaf not only looks impressive but tastes good too. The interesting combination of courgette and cheddar cheese, give a standard loaf an interesting twist.

Ingredients

  • 170ml 5⅞ fl oz Warm water
  • 4tbsp 4tbsp Olive oil
  • 2tbsp 2tbsp Honey
  • 1½tsp 1½tsp Salt
  • 1½tsp 1½tsp Mustard powder
  • 100g 3½ oz Courgette(s) diced, plus a little extra for decoration
  • 100g 3½ oz Cheddar cheese grated
  • 450g 16 oz Strong white bread flour (we use Allinson) Strong white bread flour
  • 1 1 Easy bake yeast sachet Easy bake yeast sachet
  • Cheddar cheese grated, a little

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Put the flour, salt, mustard, cheese, courgettes and yeast into a bowl.

    • 450g 16 oz Strong white bread flour (we use Allinson) Strong white bread flour
    • 1½tsp 1½tsp Salt
    • 1½tsp 1½tsp Mustard powder
    • Cheddar cheese grated, a little
    • 100g 3½ oz Courgette(s) diced, plus a little extra for decoration
    • 1 1 Easy bake yeast sachet Easy bake yeast sachet
  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Mix to a soft dough with the oil, honey and water.

    Ingredients for this step

    • 4tbsp 4tbsp Olive oil
    • 2tbsp 2tbsp Honey
    • 170ml 5⅞ fl oz Warm water
  3. Classic mode Step 3

    Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.

    Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll each piece into long strands.

  5. Classic mode Step 5

    Join the strands at one end and plait together, folding the ends under.

  6. Classic mode Step 6

    Place onto a greased baking sheet and leave to prove slowly until double in size. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan, gas mark 7).

  7. Classic mode Step 7

    Top with more courgette and grated cheese and bake in an oven and immediately turn the heat down to 200° (180°C fan, gas mark 6).

  8. Classic mode Step 8

    Bake for 25-30 minutes.
