Cream cheese bread with apricot filling

This delicious, cream cheese bread combines soft cheese, sweet apricots and wonderfully nutty almonds. This loaf is lovely served with a beautiful fresh salad.

Ingredients

  • 225ml 7⅝ fl oz Milk (whole)
  • 2tbsp 2tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 125g 4½ oz Cream cheese
  • 2tbsp 2tbsp Honey
  • 1¼tsp 1¼tsp Salt
  • 50g 1⅞ oz Almonds chopped
  • 100g 3½ oz Apricot(s) ready to eat, chopped
  • 450g 16 oz Very strong white bread flour (we use Allinson) Very strong white bread flour
  • 1 1 Easy bake yeast sachet Easy bake yeast sachet

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Put all the ingredients into a mixer with a dough hook attached.

    • 225ml 7⅝ fl oz Milk (whole)
    • 2tbsp 2tbsp Sunflower oil
    • 125g 4½ oz Cream cheese
    • 2tbsp 2tbsp Honey
    • 1¼tsp 1¼tsp Salt
    • 50g 1⅞ oz Almonds chopped
    • 100g 3½ oz Apricot(s) ready to eat, chopped

  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Knead in the machine for 5 minutes.

    If mixing by hand, put the flours, salt, apricots, nuts and yeast into a bowl.

    Mix to a soft dough with the oil, honey and cream cheese and milk.

    Turn onto a floured board and knead for 10 minutes.

    Leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan, gas mark 6).

    Bake for 30-35 minutes.
