Pizzas Ingredients

450 grams Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) sifted Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
1.50 tsp Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
1.50 tsp Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon Homegrown) Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon Homegrown)
1.50 tsp Salt
260 ml Water warm
60 ml Olive Oil

Additional Ingredients

400 grams Chopped tomatoes
1 Cloves Garlic crushed
1 tsp Dried basil
1 tsp Dried Oregano
1 tbsp Tomato Puree

How to make Pizzas

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C, fan oven 180C, gas mark 6. Grease 1 or 2 baking sheets.
  2. Put the flour, yeast, sugar and salt into a bowl. Mix gently and make a well in the middle. Add the water and oil and mix into a soft dough that comes away from the edge of the bowl.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes. method tip
  4. Shape into 2 smaller pizza or 1 large circle. Place on the greased baking sheets and spread with the tomato sauce. Add your favourite toppings and bake for 15-25 minutes or when the crust is golden brown.
  5. If you would like a thicker crust to your pizza leave your dough to rise for 20 minutes before you add the sauce and topping.
  6. For the tomato sauce: Empty the tomatoes into a saucepan and add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to the boil, then turn down the heat so that the mixture simmers for about 30 minutes. You can store in the fridge until you are ready to use the sauce.
  7. Suggested Topping: Grated cheddar Mozzarella Chopped ham Chopped sweet pepper Sliced pepperoni sausage Drained sweetcorn Pineapple chunks Chopped cooked bacon Fresh basil
