Chocolate Truffles

These truffles are really quick and easy to make, no baking required.

These tasty little treats will let your imagination go wild.  Substitute the almond flavouring with rum or peppermint and as for the coverings well – anything goes.  Just be prepared if you have little helpers there will be some very messy hands and probably mouths to wipe!!

150 grams Milk Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create) Milk Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create)
130 grams Maderia Cake Made into crumbs
1 tsp Pure Almond Extract (Nielsen-Massey) Pure Almond Extract (Nielsen-Massey)

How to make Chocolate Truffles

  1. Melt the chocolate flavour cake covering. method tip
  2. Add the Maderia Cake crumbs and almond flavouring to the melted cake covering. Leave to cool slightly.
  3. Shape the mixture in small balls.
  4. Sprinkle the toppings of your choice onto saucers and roll the balls to cover.
  5. Top tip: If you want to drizzle with melted cake covering, place the uncovered truffles onto a wire rack and dip a teaspoon into melted chocolate and drizzle backwards and forwards.
  6. Chill for 30 mins and store in an airtight container.
