Ingredients

  • 175g 6¼ oz Butter (unsalted)
  • 100g 3½ oz Unrefined light muscovado sugar (we use Billington's) Unrefined light muscovado sugar
  • 3tbsp 3tbsp Golden syrup (we use Silver Spoon) Golden syrup
  • 100g 3½ oz Dried mixed fruits
  • 4tbsp 4tbsp Mixed seeds (pumpkin, sesame, sunflower)
  • 250g 8⅞ oz Porridge oats

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Set the oven to 180°C (fan 160°C, gas mark 4). Line the base of a shallow baking tray (approx 28x20cm) with baking parchment.

  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Place the butter, sugar and syrup in a medium pan and stir until melted. Add the fruit, seeds and oats and stir well.

    • 100g 3½ oz Dried mixed fruits
    • 4tbsp 4tbsp Mixed seeds (pumpkin, sesame, sunflower)
    • 250g 8⅞ oz Porridge oats
  3. Classic mode Step 3

    Spread the mixture in the tin and press down so there are no gaps.

  4. Classic mode Step 4

    Bake for thirty minutes or until lightly golden. Leave to cool in the tin until cold then turn out and cut into slices
