Shortbread Rounds Ingredients

110 grams Butter
75 grams Half Spoon Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon) plus extra for dusting Half Spoon Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon)
175 grams Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly) plus a little extra for dusting Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly)
50 grams Semolina
3 tbsp Water

How to make Shortbread Rounds

  1. Preheat the oven to 150°C, 300°F, Gas mark 2. method tip
  2. Cream the butter and Silver Spoon Light together in a food processor. method tip
  3. Add the flour and semolina and whizz until the mixture forms fine crumbs. method tip
  4. Add the cold water a little at a time until the mixture begins to form a ball of dough.
  5. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the dough from the fridge and roll out on a floured surface until 1/2 cm thick.
  7. Cut into rounds and place on a non-stick baking sheet. method tip
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until crisp and lightly golden. method tip
  9. Allow to cool.
  10. Sprinkle with the extra Silver Spoon Half Spoon and serve.
