No Bake Chocolate Cake Ingredients

200 grams Milk Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create) broken into pieces Milk Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create)
100 grams Dark Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create) at least 60% cocoa solids, broken into pieces Dark Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create)
110 grams Butter unsalted
50 grams Dark Muscovado Sugar (Billington's) Dark Muscovado Sugar (Billington's)
110 grams Shortbread Biscuits broken into small pieces
110 grams Natural Glace Cherries (Billington's) Natural Glace Cherries (Billington's)
75 grams Hazelnuts whole roasted
75 grams Pecan Nuts roughly chopped
1 Maltesers white, small packet, crushed roughly
Chocolate mini eggs a few, to decorate

How to make No Bake Chocolate Cake

  1. Melt the chocolate, butter and sugar in a bowl over a pan of simmering (not boiling) water or in a microwave oven. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. Turn into a 18cm round cake tin lined with non stick baking paper, pressing down gently. Decorate with mini eggs if using. Leave to set at room temperature until firm. method tip
  2. Remove the cake from the tin and peel away the lining paper. Cut into thin slices to serve.

"Brilliant recipe! definately follow the instuctions to add mini eggs and the malteasers and nuts! i made them firstly when i didnt have these in the cubboard, then again when i had time to go out and buy them, made a world of difference! also great is to swap out the chocolate and nuts and mix in fruit, i enjoyed it with fresh banana chunks, and so did all my flat mates!"

"Great recipe. I "adultified" it a bit by using less sugar, replacing some of the biscuits with sponge fingers, and replacing some of the nuts with almonds. Froze, allowed to thaw, sliced thinly and served with home made vanilla ice cream. Very grown up!"
