Ingredients
| 175 grams | Allinson Wholemeal Plain Flour | ![]() |
| 150 grams | Billington's Golden Granulated Sugar | ![]() |
| 25 grams | Cocoa powder Sieved | |
| 1 | Teaspoon bicarbonate of soda | |
| 1 | Teaspoon baking powder | |
| 115 grams | Salted butter Melted | |
| 2 | Large Eggs Lightly beaten | |
| 275 grams | Very ripe bananas Mashed | |
| 100 grams | Plain Chocolate Cut into small chunks |
Method

- Preheat the oven to 190°C, 170°C fan, Gas 5
- Line a 900g (2lb) loaf tin with baking paper.
- Mix the Allinson Wholemeal Plain Flour, Billington’s unrefined golden granulated sugar, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder in a bowl
- In another bowl mix the butter, eggs, bananas and chocolate together.
- Fold the banana mixture well into the dry ingredients and place the mixture into the prepared loaf tin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour
- Cool in the tin and serve sliced.
