Christmas Tree Cupcakes Ingredients

225 grams Organic Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Organic Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
225 grams Butter (unsalted, softened)

For the frosting

500 grams Icing Sugar (Silver Spoon)
160 grams Butter (unsalted, softened)
50 ml JUST MILK JUST MILK
Silver Spoon Cakecraft Green Food Colouring (a few drops)

How to make Christmas Tree Cupcakes

  1. Heat the oven to gas 5 / 180°C and line a muffin tin with muffin cases. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. method tip
  2. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well in between, then add the vanilla. Finally fold in the flour until well combined. method tip
  3. Spoon the mixture evenly into the cases and bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until they are springy to the touch and a skewer comes out clean. method tip
  4. To make the frosting use an electric mixer or hand mixer to mix the icing sugar and butter together until you get a breadcrumb texture, then add the milk and mix on high speed until the frosting is light and fluffy, then add drops of green food colouring until you get a ‘Christmas tree’ green.
  5. Pipe the frosting onto the cakes in a pyramid and decorate the ‘trees’ with choco beans and silver balls for the perfect finishing touch. method tip
