Half Spoon Plum Tray Bake Ingredients

175 grams Self Raising White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly) Self Raising White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly)
1 tsp Baking Powder
175 grams Stork Stork
75 grams Half Spoon Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon) Half Spoon Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon)
3 Free Range Eggs Free Range Eggs
35 grams Ground Almonds
4 Plums
1 tbsp Almonds flaked

How to make Half Spoon Plum Tray Bake

  1. Grease and base-line a 18x23 cm rectangular cake tin
  2. Heat the oven to 190°C, 170°C fan, gas mark 5 method tip
  3. Sift flour and baking powder into a large bowl method tip
  4. Add the margarine, Silver Spoon Half Spoon sugar and eggs and beat well with a wooden spoon or electric whisk, until smooth
  5. Spread the mixture in the tin and level the surface. Cut the plums in half then each half into two wedges. Lay the pieces of plum over the cake and sprinkle with nuts
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes until risen and firm to the touch method tip
  7. When the cake is cool, dredge with Half Spoon sugar
