Hot Mulled Winter Punch Ingredients

18 cloves
1 Orange zest cut into large strips
750 ml Red Wine
1 Lemon zest cut into large strips
3 tbsp Demerara Sugar (Billington's) Demerara Sugar (Billington's)
1 Cinnamon Stick
15 grams Ginger thinly sliced and bruised

How to make Hot Mulled Winter Punch

  1. Push 3 cloves into each strip of orange. Mix the clove-studded orange strips and all the other ingredients together in a large pan
  2. Half fill the wine bottle with water and add to the pan or add 375ml water. Bring up to simmering point on the hob
  3. Barely simmer for 15-20 minutes – do not let it boil or all the alcohol will evaporate. Serve in slightly warmed, heatproof cups or glasses
