Lemon Granita Sorbet Ingredients

500 ml Water
250 grams Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
Juice of 10 lemons – approx 600ml/1 pint
Zest of 5 Lemons

How to make Lemon Granita Sorbet

  1. Put the sugar and water into a large saucepan with the lemon zest, bring to the boil and stir until the sugar dissolves, simmer for 1 minute.
  2. Remove from the heat, cool then stir in the lemon juice.
  3. Pour into a shallow plastic container and chill in the fridge for about 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Place in the freezer, stirring every hour until frozen, this should take about 4 hours. The consistency should be a little granular.
  5. Serving suggestion: Serve a couple of scoops of Lemon Granita with a shot of Limoncello poured over it, for an extra Lemony punch!
