This refreshing dessert, rather like a grown up slushie, could not be easier to make, you don’t need an ice cream machine, just a freezer.

Orange blossom granita Ingredients

350 ml Orange Juice fresh
1 tsp Orange Extract (Nielsen-Massey) Orange Extract (Nielsen-Massey)
50 grams Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)

How to make Orange blossom granita

  1. Pour 150 ml orange juice into a small pan and add the sugar. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves. Add the remaining orange juice and the orange blossom extract.
  2. Pour into a shallow freezer container and freeze for about 1-2 hours or until it has formed crystals and is almost frozen. It can be frozen overnight but will be a little harder to shave into crystals.
  3. To serve, scrape the ice into small shot glasses with a spoon and serve immediately.
