225 grams Butter melted
50 grams Cocoa Powder
200 grams Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
1 Happy Eggs Happy Eggs
1 tbsp Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
100 grams Chocolate (Silver Spoon Create) Optional plain or milk broken into pieces

How to make Chocolate Crunch

  1. Line and grease a swiss roll tin
  2. Preheat over 170°C, Gas Mark 3, Fan 150°C. Sieve both flours and Cocoa into a large bowl. Add the sugar, and stir with wooden spoon for a couple seconds method tip
  3. Add egg to the melted butter, and beat into the dry ingredients. The mixture should be quite most, you can always add a little extra melted butter if not method tip
  4. (Option: roughly chop some chocolate and add to the mixture).
  5. Spoon mixutre into swiss roll tin, pressing down very firmly with back of a wooden spoon, until it is tightly compact, and an even surface method tip
  6. Brush will cold water, and sprinkle granulated sugar all over
  7. Pop into oven and bake 40 - 50 mins the longer you bake the crunchier it will be
  8. As soon as it comes out of the oven, quickly slice into sections whilst still in the tin, leave in tin till cools, and transfer to wire rack
