How to make Our Children In Need Pudsey-fly Cakes

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/210°C fan/Gas 5. Line a cupcake tin with cupcake cases.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar, mix in the beaten eggs, then the flour, vanilla extract and milk.
  3. Whisk until well mixed and lump free, pour into bun tins (we used silicon muffin tins) and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Remove from the tin and allow to cool.
  5. As you would for making Butterfly Cakes, cut the top rounded part off and cut in half to make two ears.
  6. Roll out some ready-to-roll white icing and cut out bandage shapes.
  7. Use icing tubes to stick the ears in place then the bandage.
  8. Decorate the bandages with multi-coloured spots, blue shimmer balls and tiny pieces of coloured ready-to-roll icing.
