Penne Pasta with Sweet Basil and Tomato Sauce Ingredients

225 grams	Penne Pasta
1	Red Onion, finely chopped
1	Red Pepper, seeded and finely diced
400 grams	Chopped tomatoes
1	Red Chilli, seeded and finely chopped
2 tsp	Half Spoon Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon)
	Salt & Ground Black Pepper
10	Basil Leaves

Cook the pasta in boiling salt water.
Meanwhile, in a non-stick frying pan, dry fry the onion for 2-3 minutes until soft, add the garlic and pepper and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, chili and Silver Spoon Half Spoon, bringing the sauce to a gentle simmer.
Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
Drain the pasta and pour into a serving dish, spoon the sauce over and sprinkle with shredded basil leaves.
Serve with a mixed salad or fresh spinach leaves.
