Fragrant Rice Dessert Ingredients

75 grams pudding rice
300 ml Single Cream
600 ml Milk whole Milk
75 grams Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
4 Cardamom Pods crushed seeds from pods
4 tsp Rosewater
Cinnamon ground, to decorate
Pistachios crushed, to decorate

How to make Fragrant Rice Dessert

  1. Place the rice and cream with almost all the milk in a pan over a low heat and simmer, uncovered for 30-40 minutes, stirring from time to time, to prevent the rice from sticking to the pan, until the rice is tender and the milk is almost absorbed. Add more milk if necessary. method tip
  2. Stir in the sugar, cardamon and rosewater and continue cooking until thick and creamy. Pour into serving dishes and leave to cool and set.
  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon or pistachios just before serving.
