Doughnut Sticks with Chocolate Dip Ingredients

250 grams Self Raising Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly) Self Raising Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly)
0.50 tsp Baking Powder
40 grams Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
1 Free Range Eggs (Happy Eggs) Free Range Eggs (Happy Eggs)
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil plus extra for deep frying

2 tbsp Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
1 pinch Cinnamon ground
 

Further Additional Ingredients

150 grams Dark Chocolate Chips (Silver Spoon Create)
150 ml Double Cream

How to make Doughnut Sticks with Chocolate Dip

  1. Heat the oil in a deep-fat fryer to 170ÂșC (335F) or until a little of the mixture sizzles as soon as it is dropped in
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and stir in the sugar method tip
  3. Beat the oil and egg into the milk and stir into the dry ingredients until the mixture forms a soft dough method tip
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and pat out to about 1 cm thick. Cut into thin strips and place into the hot oil. Fry for 3-4 mins on each side, until golden and crisp
  5. Sprinkle the doughnuts with the sugar and cinnamon while hot and serve as soon as possible
  6. To make the chocolate dip, Gently warm the chocolate, cream together until melted. Pour into a serving dish and serve
