Rum Glazed Bananas Ingredients

4 Bananas
1 Orange
Fresh Ginger 2cm finely chopped
2 tbsp Half Spoon Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon) Half Spoon Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon)
2 tbsp Dark Rum

How to make Rum Glazed Bananas

  1. Preheat grill to High.
  2. Peel the bananas, slice in half lengthways and place on a non-stick baking tray.
  3. Using a zester, zest the orange peel into a small bowl.
  4. Cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice.
  5. Add the ginger, Silver Spoon Low Calorie sweetener and rum to the bowl. Mix together well then spoon onto the bananas.
  6. Place immediately under a hot grill for 3-4 minutes until the sauce has caramelised and the bananas are soft.
  7. Serve piping hot with virtually fat free fromage frais or Elderflower Sorbet.
