Great with all roasts, but particularly lovely with the end of year Turkey, this bread sauce is the perfect accompaniment for the dinner table.

Bread Sauce Ingredients

1 Onion Peeled
4 cloves
570 ml JUST MILK Whole JUST MILK
Salt
8 Peppercorns
1 Bay Leaf
30 grams Butter
100 grams Breadcrumbs Allinson Wholemeal bread

How to make Bread Sauce

  1. Stud the onion with cloves
  2. Pour the milk into a medium saucepan add the onion, pinch of salt, peppercorns and bay leaf.
  3. Bring the milk up to the boil, then remove from the heat for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the peppercorns and the bay leaf, then add the butter and breadcrumbs and cook slowly for about 15 minutes until it is thick, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the onion and serve.
