Stilton and Parsley Scones Ingredients

225 grams Self Raising White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly) Self Raising White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly)
0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper / Smoked Paprika
0.50 tsp Mustard Powder
100 grams Stilton (crumbled)
50 grams Butter
2 tbsp Parsley
1 tbsp Chives
150 ml Milk
1 pinch Salt
1 pinch Pepper

How to make Stilton and Parsley Scones

  1. Pre heat the oven to 200°C, 180°C Fan, Gas Mark 6. method tip
  2. Mix together the flour, salt, pepper and mustard. Rub in the butter then stir in the stilton and herbs. Add enough milk to make a 'not too wet' dough. Gather together and knead lightly. method tip
  3. Place the dough on a floured board and pat out until about 3cm thick. Using a 5-6 cm round cutter, stamp out about 10-12 scones, re rolling the dough if needed. method tip
  4. Place scones on a greased and floured baking sheet, and bake in oven for 12-15 minutes until golden.
