This recipe is fun to make. By twisting into an S shape before proving creates a lovely cinnammon 'S' once baked. Perfect to bake and share!

Cinnamon Bread Ingredients

450 grams Country Grain Bread Flour (Allinson) Country Grain Bread Flour (Allinson)
75 grams Sugar
1 tsp Salt
50 grams Porridge Oats (Jordans)
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
300 ml Water Warm
2.50 tbsp Butter Filling and Topping: mix together,Softened
2.50 tbsp Sugar Filling and Topping: mix together,Softened
2 tsp Ground Cinnamon Filling and Topping: mix together,Softened

How to make Cinnamon Bread

  1. Place all of the ingredients (except the topping) into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
  2. Mix to a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes.
  3. If mixing by hand, put the flour, sugar, salt and porridge oats into a bowl and sprinkle on the yeast.
  4. Mix to a soft dough with the water.
  5. Knead on a floured board for 10 minutes. method tip
  6. Roll the bread dough into a rectangle, spread most of the cinnamon butter over the dough,roll up into a sausage shape sealing the edges and twist into an ‘S’ shape.
  7. Brush with remaining butter and place onto a greased baking sheet. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5.
  8. Bake for 20-30 minutes method tip
