Date and Sherry Loaf Ingredients
| 200 grams | Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) | ![]() |
| 200 grams | Allinson Country Grain Strong Brown Flour | |
| 2 tsp | Sea Salt | |
| 50 grams | Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) | ![]() |
| 1 | Lemon Grated rind of | |
| 125 grams | Dates Stoned and Chopped | |
| 1 sachet | Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet | ![]() |
| 100 grams | Butter Melted | |
| 125 ml | JUST MILK Warmed | ![]() |
| 100 ml | Medium Sherry Warmed | |
| 1 tsp | Icing Sugar (Silver Spoon Homegrown) To Serve | ![]() |

How to make Date and Sherry Loaf

- Place all the ingredients into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
- Mix to a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes. If mixing by hand, put the dry ingredients into a bowl and sprinkle on the yeast.
- Mix to a soft dough with the butter, milk and sherry.
- Turn onto a floured board and knead for 10 minutes.
- Shape the dough into 3 balls. Place onto a greased baking tray so that the balls are touching each other.
- Leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- When cool, dust with icing sugar.
