Easter Bread with Nut Brittle Ingredients

475 grams Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White)
2 Lemon zest
4 tbsp Golden Granulated Sugar (Billington's) Golden Granulated Sugar (Billington's)
1 tsp Salt
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
3 tbsp Melted Butter
2 Medium Eggs Beaten
115 ml JUST MILK JUST MILK
3 tbsp Water
1 Medium Egg Yolk To Top, Beaten
0.50 tsp Ground Cinnamon To Top
1 tbsp Sugar To Top
15 grams Flaked Almonds To Top

  1. Put the flours, lemon zest, sugar, salt and yeast into a bowl.
  2. Mix to a soft dough with the butter, eggs, milk and water. method tip
  3. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
  4. Shape the dough into a ring shape and place onto a baking sheet.
  5. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6 method tip
  6. Meanwhile mix together the topping ingredients and use these to top the dough before baking method tip
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes. method tip
