Mocha Loaf Ingredients

450 grams Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White)
75 grams Roughly Chopped Plain Chocolate
3 tbsp Cocoa Powder
3 tbsp Dark Muscovado Sugar (Billington's) Dark Muscovado Sugar (Billington's)
1.50 tsp Salt
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
4 tbsp Melted Butter
225 ml Espresso Coffee Cooled
3 tbsp Water

How to make Mocha Loaf

  1. Put the flour, chocolate, cocoa, sugar, salt and yeast into a bowl.
  2. Mix to a soft dough with the butter, coffee and water.
  3. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  4. Shape as desired and put into an appropriate greased tin. method tip
  5. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheated the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7 method tip
  6. Bake in an oven and immediately turn the heat down to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6. method tip
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes. method tip
