Ingredients
| 175 grams | Allinson Country Grain Bread Flour | ![]() |
| 100 grams | Allinson Premium Wholemeal Very Strong Bread Flour | ![]() |
| 1 tsp | Sugar | |
| 1 tsp | Salt | |
| 25 grams | Wheatgerm | |
| 3 tbsp | Maple Syrup | |
| 100 grams | Pecan Nuts Chopped | |
| 1 sachet | Allinsons Easy Bake Yeast 1 x 7g sachet | ![]() |
| 200 ml | Milk Warmed | |
| 2 tbsp | Butter Melted | |
| Maple Syrup To Glaze |
Method

- Place all of the ingredients into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
- Mix to a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes.
- If mixing by hand, put the flours, sugar, salt, wheatgerm, syrup and nuts into a bowl. Sprinkle on the yeast and mix to a soft dough with the butter and milk. Knead on a floured board for 10 minutes.
- Place the bread mixture into a greased (35 x 11cm/13 x 4”) tin. 5. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Divide into 10 bars.
- Serve glazed with maple syrup.
