Prune & Pecan Bread Ingredients

300 grams Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White)
150 grams Allinson Country Grain Strong Brown Flour
75 grams Chopped Prunes
50 grams Chopped Pecan Nuts
1.50 tsp Salt
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
1 tbsp Runny Honey
2 tbsp Sunflower Oil
315 ml Water

How to make Prune & Pecan Bread

  1. Put the flour, prunes, pecan nuts, salt and yeast into a bowl and mix to a soft dough with the honey, oil and water.
  2. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  3. Shape as desired and put into an appropriate greased tin. method tip
  4. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheated the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7 method tip
  5. Place in an oven and immediately turn the oven down to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6. method tip
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before slicing. method tip
