Ingredients

500 grams Allinson Country Grain Bread Flour
100 grams Sugar
½ grams Salt
100 grams Margarine
75 grams Milk Warmed
75 ml Water Warmed Together With Milk
1 sachet Allinsons Easy Bake Yeast 1 x 7g sachet
175 grams Raisins

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients (except the raisins) into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
  2. Mix to a soft dough, knead for 5 minutes.
  3. If mixing by hand, knead for a further 5 minutes.
  4. Roll the dough on a floured surface to a 30 x 23cm (12 x 9in) rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle with raisins and roll up
  6. Place seam side down into a 1.1kg (2½ lb) loaf tin, leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C;/Gas Mark 5 method tip
  7. Bake for 35 minutes. method tip
