Spicy Apple Buns Ingredients

450 grams Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White)
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
50 grams Oatmeal
2 tsp Mixed Spice
1 Apple(s) Peeled, Cored And Finely Chopped
2 tbsp Skimmed Milk Powder
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
50 ml Vegetable Oil
200 ml Apple Juice
Runny Honey To Glaze

How to make Spicy Apple Buns

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
  2. Mix to a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes.
  3. If mixing by hand, put the flour, sugar, salt, oatmeal, spice, apple and milk powder into a bowl. Sprinkle on the yeast and mix to a soft dough with the oil and apple juice. Knead on a floured board for 10 minutes. method tip
  4. Shape the mixture into 12 rounds and place into a greased bun tin. method tip
  5. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5 method tip
  6. Bake for 20 minutes and glaze with runny honey while still warm.
