Ingredients

250 ml Water
300 grams Allinson Premium White Very Strong Bread Flour
100 grams Rye Flour
1 tbsp Mixed Spice
1 ¼ tsp Sea Salt
1 tbsp Honey
100 grams Almonds Chopped
125 grams Sultanas
1 tbsp Allinsons Easy Bake Yeast 1 x 7g sachet

Method

  1. Put the ingredients (except the almonds and sultanas) into the bread maker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook).
  2. Set to the basic white program.
  3. Add the almonds and sultanas at the time for added ingredients as directed by the manufacturer of your machine.
  4. Remove the dough from machine and knead until smooth.
  5. Shape the dough into 7 balls.
  6. Place into a greased round tin (23cm/9”), leave to prove until double in size - the balls should be touching. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5
  7. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Glaze, cool and serve.
