Oatmeal Round Ingredients

650 grams Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium Wholemeal) Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium Wholemeal)
1 tsp Salt
15 grams Margarine
175 grams Golden Syrup (Silver Spoon) Golden Syrup (Silver Spoon)
400 ml Water
175 grams Rolled Oats
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)

How to make Oatmeal Round

  1. Place the flour and salt into a mixing bowl with a dough hook attached.
  2. Melt the margarine into the syrup, water and oats, blend in the yeast.
  3. Mix to make a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes. If mixing by hand knead for a further 5 minutes. method tip
  4. Divide into 2, place into 2 greased 18cm (7in) round cake tins, prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/Gas Mark 4 method tip
  5. Bake for 40 minutes. method tip
