Cherry Oat Crunchies

This tray bake is a perfect bake to serve warm as a pudding with a scoop of ice-cream! BakingMad Top Tip... make this reciepe your own and be creative....sprinkle on some flaked almonds or add a pinch of ground cinnamon to the flour

Cherry Oat Crunchies Ingredients
| 75 grams | Wholemeal Self Raising Flour (Allinson) | ![]() |
| 75 grams | Rolled Oats | |
| 75 grams | Demerara Sugar (Billington's) | ![]() |
| 100 grams | Unsalted Butter Softened | |
| 100 grams | Natural Glace Cherries (Billington's) Chopped | ![]() |

How to make Cherry Oat Crunchies

- Pre-heat the oven to 180 C (Gas Mark 4) Grease a shallow baking tin 28x18x4cm (11x7x1½)
- Mix the flour, oats and sugar in a bowl. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
- Evenly spread half the mixture over the base and gently press.
- Spread the cherries over the oaty base. Cover with the remaining oat mixture and press down.
- Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Leave to cool in the tin. Cut into 12 piece and serve.
