Courgette and Cheese Plait Ingredients
| 170 ml | Warm Water warm | |
| 4 tbsp | Olive Oil | |
| 2 tbsp | Runny Honey | |
| 1.50 tsp | Salt | |
| 1.50 tsp | Mustard Powder | |
| 100 grams | Cougettes diced | |
| 100 grams | Cheddar Cheese grated | |
| 450 grams | Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) | ![]() |
| 1 sachet | Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet | ![]() |
| Grated Cheese a little extra | ||
| Finely Diced Courgette a little extra |
This recipe uses
How to make Courgette and Cheese Plait

- Put the flour, salt, mustard, cheese, courgettes and yeast into a bowl.
- Mix to a soft dough with the oil, honey and water.
- Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll each piece into long strands.
- Join the strands at one end and plait together, folding the ends under.
- Place onto a greased baking sheet and leave to prove slowly until double in size. Preheated to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7
- Top with more courgette and grated cheese and bake in an oven and immediately turn the heat down to 200°/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes.
