Devonshire Splits Ingredients
| 250 grams | Plain White Flour (Allinson Nature Friendly) | ![]() |
| 250 grams | Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) | ![]() |
| 1 tsp | Salt | |
| 3 tbsp | Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) | ![]() |
| 60 ml | Butter melted | |
| 3 tbsp | Water warm | |
| 260 ml | JUST MILK | ![]() |
| 1 sachet | Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet | ![]() |
| 1 | Egg Wash |

How to make Devonshire Splits

- Put the flours, salt, sugar and yeast into a bowl.
- Mix to a soft dough with the butter, water and milk.
- Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 10 and shape each piece into a flat round bun.
- Place the buns on a greased baking sheet and cover with a tea towel.
- Leave to prove until double in size. Preheated the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6
- Brush with egg wash and bake in an oven for 15-20 minutes until golden.
