150 grams Country Grain Bread Flour (Allinson) Country Grain Bread Flour (Allinson)
150 grams Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium Wholemeal) Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium Wholemeal)
150 grams Seed & Grain Bread Flour (Allinson) Seed & Grain Bread Flour (Allinson)
1.50 tsp Salt
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
1 tbsp Runny Honey
3 tbsp Sunflower Oil
285 ml Warm Water Warm

How to make Hearty Country Bread

  1. Put the flour, salt and yeast into a bowl and mix to a dough with the honey, oil and water.
  2. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  3. Shape and put into an appropriate greased tin.
  4. Leave to prove until double in size. Preheated the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7
  5. Bake in an oven and immediately turn the heat down to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes. method tip

"I tried this recipe using Easy Bake Yeast, as I needed a loaf quickly, and although the crust and rise were a little less than with my sourdough leaven recipe, the result was a loaf with a great flavour and texture. Excellent recipe if you are in a hurry :)."
