Fougasse with Fragrant Herbs Ingredients
| 450 grams | Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) | ![]() |
| 1.50 tbsp | Dried Herbs de Provence | |
| 1 tbsp | Granulated Sugar (Silver Spoon Homegrown) | ![]() |
| 2 tsp | Salt | |
| 1.25 tsp | Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) | ![]() |
| 80 ml | Olive Oil | |
| 225 ml | Warm Water Warm |

How to make Fougasse with Fragrant Herbs

- Put the flour, herbs, sugar, salt and yeast into a bowl.
- Mix to a soft dough with the oil and water.
- Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
- Shape as desired and leave to prove slowly until double in size. Add your chosen topping/glaze if using and place in an oven preheated to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7 and immediately turn the heat down to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes for a loaf and 15-20 minutes for a flat bread.
