Garlic Pittas Ingredients

300 grams Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White)
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's) Golden Caster Sugar (Billington's)
7 grams Hard White Vegetable Fat
1.50 tsp Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
200 ml Warm Water Warm
50 grams Butter
2 Cloves Garlic crushed, Melted Together
25 grams Fresh Parsley, Chopped

How to make Garlic Pittas

  1. Place the flour, salt, sugar, fat, yeast and water in a mixer with dough hook.
  2. Mix to a smooth dough then knead for 5 minutes.
  3. If mixing by hand knead for a further 5 minutes. method tip
  4. Shape into pitta shapes, scoring the tops.
  5. Place onto greased baking sheets, cover and leave to prove until double in size. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/gas mark 4 method tip
  6. Brush with garlic and herb butter, bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Rebrush once baked.
