Italian Polenta Sticks Ingredients
| 50 grams | Polenta | |
| 250 ml | Water | |
| 450 grams | Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium White) | ![]() |
| 1 tsp | Sugar | |
| 1 tsp | Salt | |
| 25 grams | Butter Softened | |
| 1 tsp | Honey | |
| 50 grams | Pine Nuts | |
| 7 sachet | Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) | ![]() |
| 50 ml | Water Warm |

How to make Italian Polenta Sticks

- Simmer the polenta in the 250ml/9 fl oz of water for 2 minutes.
- Place all of the ingredients into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
- Mix to a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes. If mixing by hand, put the flour, salt and sugar into a bowl.
- Rub in the butter and stir in the polenta, honey, pine nuts and yeast.
- Mix to a smooth dough with the warm water. Turn onto a floured board and knead for 10 minutes.
- Shape into 2 oblong loaves and place onto a greased baking sheet. Leave to prove until double in size. Meanwhile preheat the oven to190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark
- Bake for 20-30 minutes.
- Dust lightly with more bread flour.
