Ingredients

50 grams Polenta
250 ml Water
450 grams Allinson Premium White Very Strong Bread Flour
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
25 grams Butter Softened
1 tsp Honey
50 grams Pine Nuts
7 sachet Allinsons Easy Bake Yeast
50 ml Water Warm

Method

  1. Simmer the polenta in the 250ml/9 fl oz of water for 2 minutes.
  2. Place all of the ingredients into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
  3. Mix to a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes. If mixing by hand, put the flour, salt and sugar into a bowl.
  4. Rub in the butter and stir in the polenta, honey, pine nuts and yeast.
  5. Mix to a smooth dough with the warm water. Turn onto a floured board and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  6. Shape into 2 oblong loaves and place onto a greased baking sheet. Leave to prove until double in size. Meanwhile preheat the oven to190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark
  7. Bake for 20-30 minutes. method tip
  8. Dust lightly with more bread flour.
