Parmesan Sticks

The alternative cheese straws! Perfect to make ahead for home entertaining! By using a combination of flours you create a wonderful flavour and texture to these bread sticks

Parmesan Sticks Ingredients
| 225 ml | Warm Water | |
| 75 ml | Olive Oil | |
| 1 tbsp | Sugar | |
| 200 grams | Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) | ![]() |
| 200 grams | Very Strong Bread Flour (Allinson Premium Wholemeal) | ![]() |
| 50 grams | Parmesan | |
| 2 tsp | Sea Salt | |
| 1.25 tsp | Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) | ![]() |

How to make Parmesan Sticks

- Put the ingredients into the bread maker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook). Set to the basic white program.
- NOTE: to make this recipe in the shape featured in the picture, use 1x7g sachet/2½ tsp Allinson Easy Bake Yeast and use the dough setting.
- Remove the dough from machine and knead until smooth.
- Shape the dough into 8 long sticks.
- Egg wash and roll in the grated parmesan.
- Place onto a greased baking sheet and leave to prove until double in size. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5
- Bake for 20 minutes.
