Bruschetta Starter Ingredients

600 grams Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Golden Granulated Sugar (Billington's) Golden Granulated Sugar (Billington's)
15 grams Hard White Vegetable Fat
1 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) 1 x 7g sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
400 ml Warm Water

6 Plum Tomatoes
100 grams Mixed Olives
Olive oil to drizzle

How to make Bruschetta Starter

  1. Place the flour, salt, sugar, vegetable fat, yeast and water into a mixer with a dough hook attachment.
  2. Mix to a soft dough, knead for 5 minutes.
  3. If mixing by hand, put the dry ingredients into a bowl and sprinkle on the yeast.
  4. Mix to a soft dough, turn onto a floured board and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  5. Roll into one large rope and place on a greased baking tray.
  6. Prove intil doubled in size. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 220°C/ fan 200°C/ gas mark 7.
  7. Bake for up to 40 minutes. method tip
  8. Slice into 12 slices, bake the slices for 10 minutes until crisp, drizzle with olive oil and serve with the tomatoes and olives.
