Honey and Raisin Fougasse Ingredients

450 grams Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) Very Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
100 grams Raisins
1 tbsp Runny Honey
2 tsp Salt
1.50 tsp Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
25 grams Butter Melted
225 ml Water Warm

How to make Honey and Raisin Fougasse

  1. Put the flour, raisins, honey, salt and yeast into a bowl. method tip
  2. Mix to a soft dough with the butter and water. method tip
  3. Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. method tip
  4. Shape as desired and leave to prove slowly until double in size. Preheat the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C/Gas Mark 7 method tip
  5. Add your chosen topping/glaze if using and place in the preheated oven and immediately turn the heat down to 200°C/fan 180°C/Gas Mark 6. method tip
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes for a loaf and 15-20 minutes for a flat bread. method tip
