Savoury Danish Pinwheels Ingredients

450 grams Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson) Strong White Bread Flour (Allinson)
150 grams Butter Softened
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
7 sachet Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson) Easy Bake Yeast (Allinson)
200 ml JUST MILK Warmed JUST MILK
1 Free Range Eggs (Happy Eggs) Free Range Eggs (Happy Eggs)
1 tbsp Sunflower Oil Filling
2 Onion Finely Chopped, for the filling
50 grams Sesame Seeds Filling
50 grams Fresh Parmesan,Grated, for the filling
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds to sprinkle on top
1 tbsp Fresh Parmesan, Grated, to sprinkle on top

How to make Savoury Danish Pinwheels

  1. Fry together the filling ingredients (except the Parmesan) for 5 minutes.
  2. Place all of the dough ingredients into a mixer with a dough hook attached.
  3. Mix to a soft dough and knead for 5 minutes. If mixing by hand, put the flour into a bowl and rub in the butter
  4. Stir in the sugar, salt and sprinkle on the yeast.
  5. Mix to a soft dough with the milk and egg. method tip
  6. Knead on a floured board for 10 minutes. method tip
  7. Roll the dough into a rectangle, sprinkle over the filling and roll up like a Swiss Roll.
  8. Cut into 12 slices and place onto a greased baking sheet. Add the toppings and leave until double the size. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5
  9. Bake for 20 minutes.
