Ingredients

  • 125ml 4¼ fl oz Water
  • 125ml 4¼ fl oz Natural yoghurt
  • 200g 7⅛ oz Very strong white bread flour (we use Allinson) Very strong white bread flour
  • 200g 7⅛ oz Very strong wholemeal bread flour (we use Allinson)
  • 50g 1⅞ oz Rye flour
  • 50g 1⅞ oz Honey
  • 1¼tsp 1¼tsp Sea salt
  • 1¼tsp 1¼tsp Easy bake yeast (we use Allinson)

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix to make a soft, smooth dough. Knead for 5 minutes in an electric mixer, or for 10 minutes by hand until the dough is elastic.

    • 1¼tsp 1¼tsp Easy bake yeast (we use Allinson)
  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Shape the dough into a circle, cut one line down the middle and 4 lines off this on each side.

  3. Classic mode Step 3

    Place onto a greased baking sheet and leave to prove until double in size. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 190°C (fan 170°C, gas mark 5).
