The pumpkin in this recipe gives a wonderful golden colour and the spices bring a bit of extra warmth, perfect for an autumn or winters day or enjoyed with a delicious soup.

  • 50ml 1¾ fl oz Milk (whole)
  • 230g 8⅛ oz Pumpkin purée canned
  • 2tsp 2tsp Honey
  • 1¼tsp 1¼tsp Salt
  • 2tbsp 2tbsp Butter (unsalted)
  • 1tsp 1tsp Cinnamon ground
  • 1tsp 1tsp Ginger ground
  • 720g 25½ oz Very strong white bread flour (we use Allinson) Very strong white bread flour

For the topping

  • 2tbsp 2tbsp Milk (whole)
  • Pumpkin seeds

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Put all the ingredients in the bread maker baking pan in the order listed above.

  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Set to the basic white programme for a 1½ lb loaf.

  3. Classic mode Step 3

    At the beginning of the baking cycle quickly brush the top with milk and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds.
