This chocolate rocky road recipe is so so tasty, really easy to make, and fun to decorate!  A great recipe to make with the kids.

Ingredients

For the rocky road

  • 200g 7⅛ oz Milk chocolate or dark if preferred
  • 100g 3½ oz Butter plus some extra for greasing
  • 3tbsp 3tbsp Golden syrup (we use Silver Spoon)
  • 225g 8 oz Digestive biscuits crushed
  • 100g 3½ oz Dolly mixture (or other soft sweets)
  • 100g 3½ oz Jelly drops

For tee decoration

  • 50g 1⅞ oz Dark chocolate
  • 200g 7⅛ oz Jelly sweets

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Grease & line a 20cm square cake tin with baking parchment.

  2. Classic mode Step 2

    In a medium pan melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup, stirring until well mixed.

    • 100g 3½ oz Butter plus some extra for greasing
    • 200g 7⅛ oz Milk chocolate or dark if preferred
    • 3tbsp 3tbsp Golden syrup (we use Silver Spoon)
  3. Classic mode Step 3

    Add the crushed biscuits and mix well.

    • 225g 8 oz Digestive biscuits crushed
  4. Classic mode Step 4

    Add the sweets and stir until mixed.

    Ingredients for this step

    • 100g 3½ oz Jelly drops
    • 100g 3½ oz Dolly mixture (or other soft sweets)
  5. Classic mode Step 5

    Pour into the tin and press down until even, chill in the fridge until set.

  6. Classic mode Step 6

    Decorate with the extra sweets then drizzle melted chocolate over the top.

    • 50g 1⅞ oz Dark chocolate

    Slice carefully into squares using a sharp knife.
