How to Make Self-Raising Flour

Don’t let a simple thing like having no self-raising flour in the cupboard stop you from whipping up your favourite cake recipes. This handy 'how to' will show you how easy it is to make a batch using only plain flour and baking powder.

You Will Need

  • Plain Flour
  • Baking Powder

To make thoroughly combine the baking powder with the flour by either sifting the 2 ingredients together into a bowl or by whisking them together. For every 150g, or 6oz, of plain flour used you need to add 2 teaspoons of baking powder.

Once combinded store in an airtight container and use within 8 weeks.
