These cute mice revokes wonderful childhood memories of pick n mix but with a twist. These chocolate mice contain a sweet suprise – a chocolate nutella ganache filling. They make a great gift to share with loved ones.

Ingredients

For the mice

  • 200g 7⅛ oz Milk chocolate

For the ganache

  • 100g 3½ oz Hazelnut praline paste Nutella
  • 100ml 3½ fl oz Double cream
  • 3 3 Strawberry laces optional

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    You will need a silicone mice mould for this recipe.

  2. Classic mode Step 2

    Melt 100g of the chocolate and using a teaspoon, coat the inside of the moulds making sure that all of the tiny areas are covered i.e ears.

  3. Classic mode Step 3

    Place the moulds in the fridge to set for 15-20 minutes.

  4. Classic mode Step 4

    Place the nutella in a medium bowl and in a small saucepan bring the cream to a boil.

    Ingredients for this step

    • 100g 3½ oz Hazelnut praline paste Nutella
    • 100ml 3½ fl oz Double cream
  5. Classic mode Step 5

    Pour the warm cream over the Nutella and stir the mixture until it becomes glossy.

    Spoon the ganache to fill each mould and place back in the fridge to set.

  7. Classic mode Step 7

    Melt the remaining chocolate and fill the remaining space in the mould to seal in the ganache. Place the mould back in the fridge to chill. Any leftover ganache can be chilled in the fridge.

  8. Classic mode Step 8

    Once the chocolates are set, carefully remove them from the mould.
