These impressive looking rolls are really simple to make as all the hard work is done by your bread machine. The wonderful date and rosemary flavour combination is delicious and can simply be served with creamy butter for a yummy treat.

  • 225ml 7⅝ fl oz Water
  • 1tbsp 1tbsp Walnut oil
  • 2tbsp 2tbsp Honey
  • 200g 7⅛ oz Strong white bread flour (we use Allinson) Strong white bread flour
  • 200g 7⅛ oz Country grain bread flour (we use Allinson) Country grain bread flour
  • 2 2 Rosemary fresh, stalks, leaves stripped and chopped
  • 2tsp 2tsp Sea salt
  • 1¼tsp 1 .25tsp Easy bake yeast (we use Allinson) Easy bake yeast
  • 100g 3½ oz Dates stoned and quartered

The Method Enter Bake mode

  1. Classic mode Step 1

    Put all the ingredients (except the dates) into the bread maker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook). Set to the basic white program. Add the dates at the time for added ingredients as directed by the manufacturer of your machine.

    Remove the dough from machine and knead until smooth.

    Shape the dough into 6 large rolls.

    Place onto a greased baking sheet cover and leave to prove until double in size.

    Brush with water and top with the rosemary sprigs.

    Bake at 190°C (170°C fan, gas mark 5) for 30 minutes.
